Home / Avila Valley Barn - 2026 Season Dates
Avila Valley Barn is a year-round family farm on Avila Beach Drive in San Luis Obispo. Its pumpkin patch opened for the 2026 season on Saturday, September 19, and the farm stand is open daily from 9 AM to 6 PM.
What can kids do there in the fall?
Tractor hay rides out to the pumpkin patch, a hay maze, feeding corrals with farm animals, and photo spots among the pumpkins and hay bales. On October weekends there are pop-up pony rides from 11 AM to 2 PM.
Is there food on site?
Yes. The Chicken Shack and Smoke House serves BBQ and fried chicken from 11 AM to 5 PM, a corn roaster stand sells roasted corn, and the bakery and Sweet Shoppe have pumpkin pie, ice cream and cider floats.
How does the pumpkin patch work?
Buy a pumpkin patch ticket at the fruit stand, then ride the tractor out to the field to choose your pumpkin. On weekends the entry gate closes at 5:30 PM.
