Historic Hawes Farm on Deschutes Road in Anderson, just south of Redding, is a sixth-generation working farm that runs a big fall festival. Its 2026 Pumpkin Fest opened Saturday, September 12, and the pumpkin patch, corn maze and mechanical rides open October 3.
How much are tickets?
General admission is $14.95 online or $19.95 at the gate, and covers the farm, the pumpkin patch, the cow and grain trains, zip lines, barnyard animals, the bouncing pillow and the playground. A super pass with unlimited rides is $34.95 online or $39.95 at the gate, and is not valid until October. Everyone 3 and up needs a ticket.
What costs extra?
Food, alcohol, pumpkin blasters, pony rides and merchandise are paid separately, and mechanical rides are not part of general admission.
Is the haunted corn maze okay for little kids?
It is meant for braver guests and runs after dark on October 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, 24, 30 and 31. Families with young children may prefer the daytime corn maze, which opens October 3.
Is there anything special on Halloween weekend?
October 30 through November 1 is Halloween weekend, with a costume contest, a pumpkin drop and trick or treating at the farm. The farm notes that dates can change with crops and weather, and it may close for bad weather.
