Johnson's Corner Farm on Church Road in Medford runs its Fall Harvest every day from September 6 through October 31, including Columbus Day. Families take a hayride out to the fields to pick pumpkins, sunflowers, sweet potatoes, popcorn and gourds.
When do the hayrides run?
Wagon rides to the fields run seven days a week from 10 AM to 5 PM. The corn maze is open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
What do the pumpkins cost?
Pumpkins are $0.99 a pound and gourds $2.79 a pound. Sunflowers are $2 each or 10 for $15.
Should we buy tickets ahead?
Yes. Busy weekend times can sell out, and walk-in tickets are only sold if online tickets have not. The farm suggests a weekday if you can, to avoid peak weekend afternoons.
Is there food?
Yes. The market and ice cream are open daily from 8 AM to 7 PM, and the bakery is known for its pies, cider donuts and chicken pot pies. Kids can also visit the Discovery Barnyard and Animal Farm.
