About Wilkens Fruit & Fir Farm

Wilkens Fruit & Fir Farm on White Hill Road in Yorktown Heights grows apples, pumpkins and Christmas trees, and is celebrating its 110th anniversary this year. Apple picking began on September 5, 2026, and pumpkin picking is expected to open on Friday, October 2, a little later than planned because of the weather.

What days and hours is it open?

Wednesday through Monday, closed Tuesdays. The markets are open 10 AM to 5 PM, and last entry for picking is 4:30 PM. The corn maze runs Fridays, weekends and holidays from 10 AM to 5 PM.

Is there an admission fee?

No. There is no admission, parking or entrance fee, and no reservation is needed for picking. You pay only for what you pick, and most major credit cards are accepted.

Can the kids climb the apple trees?

No. Many of the trees are nearly 100 years old and their branches can be fragile. Picking poles are available to rent for the higher fruit.

Can we bring our dog or a picnic?

Pets are not allowed, except trained service dogs. The picnic tables are for food bought on the farm, and outside food and drinks are not permitted.
