About Preston Trail Farms
Preston Trail Farms on TX-289 in Gunter runs the Big Orange Pumpkin Farm, a fall tradition there since 1997. The 2026 pumpkin season runs from September 19 through November 25.
What do families do at the pumpkin farm?
Pick pumpkins from the vine, take a hayride, explore a 6-foot hay maze and visit the petting farm. There is also a train ride just for younger kids.
Is there food on site?
Yes. The farm has a cafe serving burgers, sandwiches and seasonal treats, plus a gift shop and a feed and hardware store.
Can we bring our dog?
Well-behaved dogs on a leash are welcome. The store is open Monday through Saturday 8 AM to 6 PM and Sunday 11 AM to 5 PM.
