Ideal Farm and Garden Centre

Ideal Farm and Garden Centre on Route 15 in Lafayette is a fourth-generation family farm with roots in Sussex County going back to 1910. Hayrides and pumpkin picking began on Saturday, September 26.

When do the hayrides run?

Fridays 4 to 6 PM, and Saturdays and Sundays 11 AM to 5 PM. They also run on Columbus Day, October 12, from 11 AM to 5 PM.

How much is it?

A $3 ticket covers the hayride up to the pumpkin patch, but not a pumpkin. For $12 a person you get the hayride and a sugar pumpkin, plus apple cider, a donut and an apple. Children 2 and under are free.

Is there more to do?

There is a petting zoo with goats to feed, and the bakery makes apple cider donuts, pies and breads. The farm store itself is open daily from 9 AM to 5 PM.
